The biogas purification and upgrading systems ECO-SORB ™ VPSA are based on an optimized solution of the PSA process but operating at ambient pressure, allowing to avoid the design and operating burdens associated with pressurized tanks and systems. Starting from the purification of biogas from OFMSW, agricultural plants, FORSU and sewage sludge, it is possible to inject into the natural gas grid biomethane respecting the SNAM Network Code parameters or for direct use as high quality fuel, in the form of compressed gas or BIO-LNG.

Polishing systems are an essential section before liquefaction and consist of a simple technology that use molecular sieves. Applicable upstream of the liquefier, the polishing systems allow a further purification of biogas for the dehydration and for a deeper CO2 removal.
The off-gas is eventually recirculated to the upgrading stage.
