Over a period of 30 days, we collect more than 15,000 data-points from each EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning System), information that is then used to calculate the abatement of pollutants and the availability of the systems.

The calculation of the removal of SO2 takes into account the percentage of sulfur contained in the fuel and its residual concentration in the exhaust gases.
The SO2 removed is calculated monthly. Data are interpolated to obtain the total quantity removed and expressed in tons.
The rate measures the state of the EGCS – in operation or ready for use, once a day.
