The commissioning of an internal fogging system for Solvay has just been completed for the Spinetta Marengo plant

The adiabatic cooling unit has been designed and built for a 31 MW gas turbine, with a particular focus on nozzle type selection, to obtain a high performance in terms of size of the atomized water droplets and global system efficiency.

Thanks to this system, the plant’s performance could increase by about 2 MW, allowing the customer to self-support the plant, cope with any peak in the demand and deliver any surplus to the network.

From November 22 the system will be fully functional and ready for production.

Capture the future

The installation program of the WESP (Wet Electrostatic Precipitator) on board a cruise ship of the Costa fleet keeps going as planned. The installation activities of our new solution for the particulate matter removal on the Costa Fortuna are nearing completion: during the dry dock at Chantier Naval de Marseille, the reactor has been positioned on board while, after leaving the shipyard, the electrical and ancillary installation will be completed at anchor. From the end of October, the WESP system is ready for commissioning and for the subsequent testing phases with support of Rina and SGS.

New EGCS delivered in record time for Spanish Trasmed

Ecospray has recently closed an agreement with Trasmed, Spanish company part of the Grimaldi Group, for the supply of two EGC systems for each of the ships M/V Ciudad de Palma and M/V Volcan of the Tijarafe. We will deliver the first two systems as from the end of November, while the second delivery is scheduled for January 2022.
